In Loving Memory of Mr. Bobby G. Walker, Sr.

Mr. Bobby G. Walker, Sr., age 71, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital on July 25, 2026. Born on April 13, 1955, in Union, South Carolina, he was raised in Hartford, Connecticut.He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Relencia Jefferson-Walker and the son of the late Jesse Henry Walker and Mrs. Rose Mae Walker.Bobby attended and graduated from Weaver High School. In 1986, he met the love of his life, Relencia Jefferson, whom he married on October 31, 1988. From their union, two children were born, Ashante Walker and Bobby Walker, Jr.In 1997, Bobby left Hartford, Connecticut, and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and two children to begin a new life. Bobby loved his wife and children with his whole heart.Bobby was a lifelong entrepreneur and worked as a Master Barber for over 23 years. He was a dedicated husband, father, son, and brother. He was a strong man, both physically and mentally, and enjoyed spending time with his family.Bobby was a Man of God. He knew the Lord well and was a praying man. He was full of laughter and had a joyful spirit. He attended Greater St. Paul Church in Hartford, Connecticut. His favorite Scripture was Psalm 91, and he was an avid reader of the Bible.He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 38 years, Mrs. Relencia Jefferson-Walker; his three children: Ms. Ashante B. Walker, Mr. Bobby G. Walker, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, and Mr. Bobby Hemingway of Hartford, CT; his four living brothers: Mr. Jesse Walker (Kathy) of Minnesota, Mr. James Earl Walker (Tonya) of Hartford, CT, Mr. Michael Anthony Walker of Hartford, CT, and Mr. Jermaine Terry of Hartford, CT; his three sisters: Mrs. Alison Wortham (Troy) of Hartford, CT, Ms. Gwendolyn Walker of Hartford, CT, and Ms. Joanne Alexander of Hartford, CT; four grandchildren: Bobby Hemingway, Jr., Brooklynn Johnson, Boccari Hemingway, Amora Rose Hemingway; Godmother, Mrs. Hattie Kennedy of Pineville, NC; Godbrother, Mr. Ronald Kennedy of Pineville, NC; Goddaughter, Tamara Mitchell-Davis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Jesse Henry Walker, and his brother, Mr. Kendall Terry.Bobby will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
